=====Classes

Lynne Schwarzenberg will be teaching a one day intensive class on making TILE BRACELETS AND JEWELRY in Bridgeport, CT at the Bishop Curtis Home on October 22. The class will run from 10 to 6 pm, with extra time for finishing up afterwards if you need it. The cost is $75.00, ($5 discount for SCPCG members). Please contact Lynne to reserve a space at riverpoet@adelphia.net

If you are teaching a class and would like to have it listed in the newsletter, please contact Lynne with the information.

=====Bead Bazaar

At this writing, I don’t have the sales books in front of me, but a rough number on sales for the Bead Bazaar is about $800. This is disappointing, since last year we did over $1400 in sales. Attendance was down, gas prices were up, and there were other bead shows happening that weekend which contributed. Otherwise, the sale went great. Our booth looked better than ever with the new lights, and the constantly improving and evolving work of our members!

I will have final sales counts done so that everyone can get their checks by the October meeting, sooner if we end up mailing them out. I’ll be in touch via email with y’all. I hope you have a great meeting, I will miss y’all. --Lynne

=====Traveling Exhibit

October: Russel Library in Middletown
November & December: Old Saybrook Library
If you have suggestion for a location, please let Tricia know.

===== Minutes

MINUTES FROM THE SEPTEMBER 2005 MTG OF SCPCG
9/16/05
9 members and 3 guests attended the September meeting
Meeting called to order at 11:30 am
Demo by Christy on "Seana's Shadow"

Bead Bazaar - Will have the totals for the October meeting. Checks will be mailed to participants.
Total sales for the day were $922. This was down from last year, possibly due to higher gas prices, the recent hurricane, the lack of promotional postcards, or the Fair across the street. The booth looked really nice with the new lights and work grouped by artist's name.

Retreat - SCPCG's 5th retreat will be held July 14th-16th.

Welcome to new visitors Anita Japp, Faith Francis, and Jessie Nailor.

Nominations will be made at the October meeting and elections will take place in November. Libby won't be able to continue as Secretary due to her move.
So far it looks like: Sharon - President, Lynne – Vice President, Sue - Treasurer, Christy - Secretary

The tag sale and potluck will be on the 2nd Saturday in December. Remember to bring your tag sale items and something to share for the pot luck lunch.

Diane will be teaching a BOH workshop at the North Haven Michaels.
September 17th, 9:30-11:30. Students will make two bottles, 1 to donate and 1 to keep.

Traveling exhibit - Anita works at the Montvill School System and will inquire about the possibility of hosting the exhibit. Tricia gave her the information and she will pass it on.

The guild is 8 years old! A Happy Anniversary toast was drunk to celebrate. The SCPCG has come a long way.

The left over beads from the Bead Bazaar were displayed during break.
Show and Tell followed
