Beads for the 2006 SCPCG Bead Strand are due at the December meeting. If you cannot come to the meeting, please make sure you mail them to Lynne by December 31 to be sure your beads are included on the strand and you are eligible to participate in the Bead Strand Raffle at the January meeting. You do not need to be present at the January meeting to be included in the raffle. Address for mailing in the beads: (3 beads, they do not need to be identical, please identify them with your name!)

Hosting a Bottles of Hope Workshop when the Traveling Exhibit is at a location is great way to showcase both projects.

Lynne will be teaching at the Lone Star Retreat in Houston, TX and the Creative Palette convention in St. Mary’s, GA in February. She has also been invited by the Connecticut Bead Society to teach at the 2007 Bead Bazaar in September.
MINUTES FROM THE OCTOBER 2006 MTG OF SCPCG
08/21/06
Meeting called to order at 11:20 am
15 members, 1 guest in attendance.
Demo by Michelle Pini on Mica shift.
The guild will be starting to order dvd's instead of videos when they are
available. Suggestions for additions to the library were taken.
Diane will be teaching at the Michael’s in New Haven.
WTNH will be interviewing Diane and Tracy on Oct31st at noon about the BOH
program.
There will be a BOH workshop on Nov 4th in the New Haven Library.
The guild did better than last year at the Bead Bazaar. The remaining beads
were passed back. This year individual beads outsold sets slightly. Next
year it will be two days and will include classes.
The Clay Day will be on October 28th.
December 2nd will be the guild pot luck and tag sale. Bring in any craft
related items that you want to clear out.
Wendy will take over the Traveling Exhibit starting in January. Items can be
swapped out at the December meeting.

Congratulations to Diane who took 1st place in the Clay Bead category from
Lapidary Journal.

MINUTES FROM THE SEPTEMBER 2006 MTG OF SCPCG

Meeting called to order at @ 11:15 am
12 members in attendance.
Discussion on bead pricing using the beads for the Bead Bazaar.
Sharon provided a pin for the Raffle Chain item and Tracy won it.
The Clay Day will be Oct 28th at St Paul’s from 9 until the last person
leaves.
Progress and Possibilities 2007 has a deadline in April so start thinking
about it. Elise Winters, Barbara McGuire and Carol Duvall will be jurying it.
There will be sponsor opportunities in the printed catalog and the guild
will be taking out a spot to congratulate our members.
Diane will be teaching again at the Michael’s in New Haven on Oct 22.
Libby will coordinate a cane collection for the BOH workshops. People can
donate old unwanted canes.
Michelle will do demos on mica shift and transfers in the next couple months.

Libby and Diane talked about Ravensdale. It was a great week but exhausting.
