Meeting called to order at 11:25 am
Gini Fisher gave a demo of Impressionist Painting Pins.
There were 17 members in attendance. 2 guests
March's demo will be Jody's Foil Texture technique.
Tracy will do a demo in April.
The Clay Weekend was great. Like a retreat without all the pressure.
Leigh Ross was talking about her Millennium Garden Workshop. She explained that this class is appropriate for all levels and will cover many techniques. Sharon has reserved the Foxon firehouse for the weekend of October 3-4. She will be e-mailing Leigh to see if that weekend will work for her. More details about this exciting workshop will be provided later.
The Bead Strand raffle will happen sometime in the future. Reminder that your $15 dues and 3 beads for the 2003 Bead Strand are due.
Terry brought up the large demand for BOH at Yale. How many bottles can the guild make and distribute on a regular basis?
Bottles of Hope: The movement has gone global. Tracy received an e-mail from Australia that there is someone doing BOH there. Sharon will be speaking at a Junior Women's Club in Middlebury. We would like to encourage self-supporting groups who would like to get involved in making BOH. There are logos and brochures available. Gini & Tracy will be holding a BOH workshop at Danbury Hospital.
Tracy is working toward having a stand alone Bottles of Hope website, to promote, provide links, give instructions etc.
Gini will be helping with guild promotions, particularly online.
Discussion of the Winter 2003 Metalsmith magazine article about Ford & Forlano followed.
The meeting adjourned at 2:25 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
