===== Minutes

MINUTES FROM THE NOVEMBER 2005 MTG OF SCPCG
11/20/05
Meeting called to order at 11:58 am
Demo by Tracy on Transfers
9 members in attendance
Elections were held by ballot. The following were elected: Sharon -President, Lynne - Vice President, Sue - Treasurer, Christy - Secretary

Clay Quest - Lynne was down in Georgia teaching for three days. The location was beautiful, the teachers were great, and the students were happy but there were several problems. There was a lack of information, the ovens hadn't been tested and weren't reliable, etc. It will be held in a different location in 2007 though in Raleigh.

Lynne will be writing a book proposal on realistic flower canes.

The guild has an opening for a Guild Promotion Coordinator to publicize the guild and the Clay ConneCTion.

The NPCG is creating a Members Only area on their website. There will also be a Teachers classified listing so they can promote their workshops. There will be a small annual fee but the details are still being worked out.

There will be a call for entries soon for a juried web show - Progress and Possibilities 2006. There will be additional categories for dolls and miniatures, beads and bead sets, missed media, and alternative use.

The next National conference will be in 2008.

The next meeting will be on the 2nd Saturday in December. Tracy will run the tag sale - bring in any craft items you don't want anymore to donate, as well as a dish for the potluck.

Raffle Chain Raffle: The raffle will be postponed until next month. Sue R will be providing the next raffle item.

BOH - Tracy gets occasional emails. One was from the Metro Detroit coordinator, Irish Red who is going to print BOH info up into cards. There was another email from Macedonia where they want to start a BOH program. Two workshops will be held - one in Jan 14, for Girl Scout leaders to take back to their troops. The other is on Feb 4 at the Congregational Church in Newtown. *Show & Tell followed
*Meeting adjourned at @ 2:27 pm.
