=====Call for Entries

Lark Books, a leading publisher of craft books, is accepting entries for 500 Bracelets, a jewelry design book featuring a juried collection of contemporary bracelets from around the globe.
We're looking for high-quality transparencies, slides, or digital images to consider for inclusion.
Traditional and experimental forms desired; all materials and processes welcome.
The postmark deadline for submitting entries is October 15, 2004.
Artists whose work is selected will receive full acknowledgment within the book, a complimentary copy of the book, and discounts on the purchase of books. Artists retain copyright of their work. There is no entry fee.

MINUTES FROM THE JULY 2004 MTG OF SCPCG

Meeting called to order at 11:20 AM
No demo
There were 14 members in attendance. 1 guest

Marie brought examples of the retreat nametags to show everyone. The colors and designs will vary. The card with the printed names will be blue for guild members and white for others.

There was a discussion of the retreat schedule, meal times, event times etc. A long discussion of final retreat details followed.

Grant Diffendaffer has contacted us about hosting a workshop. An informal show of hands indicated that there was interest in this workshop. Diane will contact him regarding our interest. Libby will try to contact Neil Florio at the Foxon Firehouse and Loreen will be looking into the ³Oddfellows² Hall in Stratford.

The Raffle Chain Drawing is today. Lisa Gauthier won the last raffle and has brought a large Seashell covered in slices from her 9-Block cane. Tickets will be sold during the break.
Sue Rankin won the raffle and will be providing the next item.

Demos: Christy will demo Faux Enamel in August and Lynne will demo her Rose Cane in September

Bead Bazaar Sept 11, 2004 North Haven Holiday Inn Members who work the guild booth will pay 10% commission on sales otherwise the commission is 20%.
Bead sets and some focals all sold well previously. Finished jewelry is less popular. Bring your pieces, priced and on cards (Sharon has the cards) along with a completed inventory sheet to the August meeting. Or contact Lynne to make separate delivery arrangements. Final cut off date is August 31! Please price in round numbers.

Tracy was contacted by the Yale NH Children¹s Hospital to do a workshop for children with cancer this wed morning. She will also be training staff.
