===== Minutes
MINUTES FROM THE MAR 2004 MTG OF SCPCG
3/19/04
Meeting called to order at 12:00 pm
Debbie Goodrow gave a demo on caning.
There were 17 members in attendance.
April's demo - Debbie G. 9 block cane
May Demo - Libby - Invisible Caning
The meeting began with introductions because we had many new members in attendance.
Kelly announced that she will be getting married in early April and that she had some pieces accepted by a gallery, Spiritual Expressions, in Milford. They are also interested in having her possibly teach.
The Traveling Exhibit will be displayed at the break. We really need new items, especially non-jewelry items. Please consider lending us something to refresh the exhibit. It will be back at the May guild meeting if you forgot to bring something today. April it will be in Ivoryton, in June it will be in Madison. Check the newsletter for other dates and locations.
We will hold the Raffle Chain Raffle today. We will be raffling a beautiful polymer egg by Debbie Goodrow. The winner of today's raffle will provide the next item in May. Tickets are $1.00
Fabric Swap - the guild will be doing a fabric swap. Fabrics are a great source of inspiration. Sharon will be organizing. Due date will be the May meeting. Info will be on the message board. The swatches should be large enough to show the pattern and give a real sense of color. Sign up by the April mtg.
Kelly mentioned the book The Grammar of Ornament is a good source of color inspirations.
Marie is offering to sell Lazertran images. You can e-mail images to her and she will print them on Lazertran Silk. Check with Marie for details and pricing.
Assignments for Clay ConneCTion will be given out next month. Pricing will be close to the 2002 pricing. There will be a commuter package. Details will be up on the website in early April. Registration will open on the April meeting. Dining should be much improved from the 2002 retreat.
