You are welcome to see some of the work our members have created in the Members Gallery
One of the retreat events that seemed to touch people the most was the
"Bottle Challenge" - making the "Wish Bottles" or
"Bottles of Hope". This is the creation of our member, Diane
Gregoire, who has faced the challenge of cancer and discovered tons of these
glass bottles being thrown out after chemo treatments. She took some home and
began to cover and decorate them with polymer clay. She then distributed them
back at the hospital. Her fellow patients were delighted by them and the idea
she had of taking a strip of paper and writing a wish, putting it in the bottle
and believing the wish would come true!!! See our Bottles
of Hope page for Diane's story of the origin of the Wish Bottles
and check out our BOH Gallery page . . .
| from this | to something like these!!! |
We are hoping that the idea of making and distributing the
Bottles of Hope, or Wish Bottles, will spread to other polymer clay guilds -
or individuals, who would like to decorate these bottles themselves, with clay
or with anything else . . . see more of the
bottles entered into the Bottle Challenge at our Clay ConneCTion 2000
Retreat!!!!
For winners of the Clay ConneCtion 2002 Bottles of Hope Challenge . . . see more
