The Southern Connecticut Polymer Clay Guild is pleased to announce our sixth retreat

Join us for an inspiring, relaxing weekend with informal demonstrations
and plenty of sharing and learning in an open studio setting.
We welcome polymer clay enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Location: NEW THIS YEAR!

Clay ConneCTion 2008 will be held at Connecticut College, New London, Connecticut.
The dorms have a/c, elevators, most are singles, some doubles, NO BUNK BEDS! Dorm rooms INCLUDE linens.

The Plex is the dining hall surounded by 6 dorms and is directly across the road from the student center at Crozier-Williams where the work room is #9 on the campus map, #12 is the dining hall, #10 -#16 are the dorms (we will be using 1 of them)

Work area:

a large, open, air-conditioned area with good general lighting and plenty of space to spread out.
Demonstrations will be held in a separate room close to the workroom.
Polymer Clay Express will be setting up their store in the workroom. Supplies can also be preordered (by July 23) http://polymerclayexpress.com/

Meals:

All meals will be served in the dining hall. If you have special dietary requirements, please note them on your registration form.

Schedule:

July 25, 12:00 pm - Check-in begins
July 27, 5:00 pm - Checkout time
July 25 through July 27 - Set up your work area in the work room, attend or present any of the informal demonstrations or sit back and relax and watch a video from our guild's library.

Cost:

Multiple options are available; complete with all meals from dinner on Friday to lunch on Sunday, work area in Alumni Hall, attendance at informal demonstrations and video screenings.
Commuter options (and for those who prefer to stay at one of the local motels):
Saturday: $110 Full weekend: $180
Full package options:
Double-occupancy room: $230
Single-occupancy room: $230
Southern Connecticut Polymer Clay Guild members whose dues were current as of April 15, 2008 OR New York Polymer Clay Guild who have paid annual dues as of April 15, 2008, may deduct $10.00 from the above prices.
Only ONE local guild membership discount will be applied
Members of National Polymer Clay Guild as of April 30, 2008 can deduct an additional $10.00
Written cancellations are subject to a $30.00 processing fee.
No refunds will be given after July 1, 2008.
