We have a date for Clay ConneCTion 2012 - it will be held from Thursday, July 26 - Sunday, July 29th at Connecticut College in New London.
Want to learn more about it? Download the Retreat Announcement PDF and check out the Retreat Page
The Southern Connecticut Polymer Clay Guild exists to share the experience of learning about polymer clay and to explore its possibilities.
And, you know what, we just like to play with clay!!!
We are a group of polymer clay enthusiasts, with varied backgrounds and skill levels. We meet to share ideas, techniques and to encourage and learn from each other. Our first meeting was in September, 1997 with 13 people and we've been growing ever since. We have members from Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey as well as all around Connecticut. You can see some of our work in the gallery.
We have the following sites reserved for our 2012 upcoming monthly meetings (11:00-3:00).
The Beachhouse, Cosey Beach Avenue, East Haven, except March, which is our Weekend of Clay, April, which will be held at the Library, and May, also at the Library, with a later start time of 12:30 pm
(All are 3rd Saturdays except Dec which is 2nd Sat for our usual Tag Sale and Pot Luck Luncheon)
Guild activities include a traveling exhibit, Bottles of Hope, bead strands, swaps, raffles, Clay Days, and retreats. Guild meetings incorporate demonstrations of techniques by our members and show-and-tell.
